The gavel has officially been passed and I am very eager to deliver value to our NAIFA-Maine members this year! At our strategic meeting last week, we sat around the table, planned for the future and left excited about what we have in store and how you can be involved! We have identified three key areas we want to focus on: advocacy, programming and membership. Does this sound familiar? By now hopefully you have heard of the NAIFA Membership Promise of: Advocate. Educate. Differentiate. We created a sign up genius for you to indicate what area you might like to serve in. Serving can be as simple as sitting at the registration table at a CE day, attending a community service project or hosting a NAIFA live watch party. We are looking for many people to do small one-time tasks, so please take a moment and fill out the sign up genius if you are interested in helping! We also would like to know the community service projects you are passionate about. Some of the best networking occurs when working together on a project and we would love your ideas.
Finally, I want to tell you about the opportunity that NAIFA-Maine has to grow membership! NAIFA-Maine has been chosen to participate in a test dues structure for new advisors. We are now offering new advisors a graduated dues program if they have been in the industry less than 5 years. Please invite any young advisors you may know to be part of their professional association! We’ve included all the details about the dues structure below, but please feel free to reach out to me or our executive staff with any questions you have.
With that, I will leave you to the rest of the newsletter. I urge you to read through it all, take note of what has been done on the legislative level, mark some dates in your calendar and make a point to check out one of the many different programs NAIFA provides for you to sharpen your practice! Enjoy the beautiful days of summer!
